News and Currently Reading
Hi everyone,
Long time no see. Okay, not that long time. Anyway. It's been a while since I've written anything but reviews here, so I thought to pop in and say hi.
I'm living exciting times now with a huge change coming into my life in just a couple of weeks. I'll tell more about that later when I know more about my schedules and all. I give you a hint, my future includes many hours away from home and up in the air.
So, I have been busy because of the change and haven't had time to read so much so I have fallen way behind on my reading and reviewing schedule. This is not a good thing since I have so many books waiting in line for their turn and missing one review delays all those coming after. Now that I am whole three books behind, one could say I am treading on thin ice. Worry not. I will be doing all the reviews as fast as possible.

Currently reading and exam week
To begin with the not book-related stuff. I'm having an exam week at high school right now and I'm so stressed about it. Okay it's just one exam per day and some days not at all, but still. I don't have time to read so much, mainly because I haven't returned my philosophy essays and they're due to Friday, but... Maybe I'll do them tomorrow (like I said yesterday and day before that).
Aaaaand I'm going to see Take That at Berlin Velodrom arena October 8th!! Super excited!!!

Currently reading! (and new apartment!)
I've been a bit busy lately, because I got my very own apartment and I have been packing and moving my stuff for a few days now. It's really stressing and hard to move, especially when you have a van full of books in boxes, and you know you can't place them on a shelf, because the shelf hasn't been bought yet. But in the end, all is well. I got my books on my self and the apartment is still a huge mess, but who cares! :) (Also I love my kitchen table, it's high with two bar stools. I've been sitting here all day after school, first Skyping with my sister and now reading and writing.) Unfortunately I don't have pictures, because it's so dark outside so I don't have good lightning with just lamps... It makes the pictures too yellowy.
The headline says ''currently reading'' so lets get to that!
I'm currently reading Melissa Walker's Ashes to Ashes and Ally Carter's I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You.
I bought Ashes to Ashes last spring spontaneously. I had never heard of it before, but I just picked it from the shelf, added to my pile and bought it. Without reading the back cover first. It's about a girl who dies in a car crash and enters to Prism, which is place where you get used to being dead. Also you learn to haunt. (And meet an awesomely cute guy). So far I've been enjoying the book very much! And that boy, Thatcher, I'm looking forward to read some more about him... :p
The Ally Carter's book I am reading out of curiosity. I kept popping on my Goodreads account for a while, and I've read great and really bad reviews about it, so I wanted to really know what made people to think so differently, either loving or hating it. I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You is about a school of exceptional young women, who basically study to be spies, and also other subjects, including fourteen different languages. I've liked it this far and a lot has happened already, the story goes on a bit slowly, but not too slow fortunately! Next is chapter 13, and I'll probably finish it tomorrow, if I have time from all my homework.
I'd love to know what you guys are reading (and thinking about the book)!

Slumping
It seems that I acn't get rid of thus reading slump. Nothing seems to be working. I just started Passion by Lauren Kate, because her books are easy and fast reads. I didn't even like the first two books in the series, but still somehow ended up to pick the third part of it. Maybe it'll help!

I'm hooked!
Few days ago I read the first book Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead out of curiosity. I've been seeing a lot of fan-art from this series and not knowing the meaning of them, I sort of got frustrated and decided to read the first book in the series.
Though the first book was good, it wasn't really the usual genre I read so I gave it 3 out of 5 stars, but something made me want to read me. Usually when I give 3 or less stars for the first book in the series, I won't even think of reading further. But I think that Rose's snarkiness and impulsive behavior made me continue.
Now I've read the first book Vampire Academy, the first novella The Meeting and I'm almost halfway through with the second book Frostbite. Despite that this isn't my usual genre, I think I'm going to finish this series!

Taking a break...
Decided to take a break with Outlander, and do a quickie with Lauren DeStefano's Wither.
I'm on page 160 of 374 and waiting for something to happen. Like it's almost half of the book and nothing has happened. And no character developtment has happened. Maybe this is one of those books, when everything happens in the last 20 pages and it leaves you craving for the next book.
The thing is, when I read a book, I expect it to tell me more about the characters from the start... But let's see what will happen, 214 pages left and anything can happen.
That's what books have taught me. Never say it's over, before you've turned the last page.

Currently reading
My current reads are Mark of Athena, by Rick Riordan and Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon.
Though I love Riordan's books, Mark of Athena is progressing slowly. I don't mean that the book is slow, because I've already read a bit over hundred pages and a great deal of thingsd has already happened. But because I read it in Finnish (yeah I'm from Finland) I find it difficult to read. I'm used to reading in English, so reading in Finnish id like reading in foreing language although Finnish is my mother tongue. Weird ha?
I love the character developmets th Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series. It amazes me to read, how Riordan has really grown Percy through the books. He started as a naïve 12-year-old and then suddenly he was 16, kick-ass warrior who saved the entire world. Happens to everyone in real life, right...
I actually started to read the Lightning Thief when I was 12, so he has been with me 5 years now.
Outlander, Outlander... what can I say. I've read 194 pages and there have been eventd to cover a full 5 book series, and the funny thing is: in my edition there is 850 pages, and it's just book one! Though the characters are pretty stuck in place, Gabaldon has been able to capture the most intresting things. Like the surroundings or someody's looks. And thinking about reading only adjectives might sound dull, but truth is: it isn't. Loved Outlander this far, although it's slow to read!
